Aktis

In Greek, the literal meaning of Aktis is “ray” or “beam,” while figuratively, it is synonymous with brilliance and splendor.

Conceived as a linear element at the heart of the collection, it can seamlessly complement various architectural spaces. The collection consists of 3 pendant lights and 3 wall sconces of different lengths. The various sizes allow for versatile configurations, ranging from a single pendant or sconce to a cascade of mirrored beams.

Inspired by contemporary shapes and traditional craftsmanship, the idea was to create a simple geometric form using mirrored Venetian glass. Through subtle details, such as infused gold leaf and beveled edges, this collection gently evokes the ornate, classic mirrors of the past.

In the Aktis collection, the glass does not act as a light diffuser but rather as a reflector. It is the perforated metal, placed between the two glass elements, that becomes the diffuser. The result is a pure minimalist design that harmoniously bridges the codes of contemporary and classic design.
